Although we here in Scandinavia have become accustomed to a life where the Covid pandemic takes up less and less space in everyday life, this is not the case everywhere in the world.
A shutdown was introduced yesterday in DongGuan in southern China, to limit the spread of Covid infection. This is where our factory is located.
Unfortunately, this means that our factory has been closed indefinitely – Right now the hope is only 2 weeks of shutdown, but as seen earlier, it can take both be for shorter or longer time. Also, based on previous experiences of shutdowns in China, we do fear, that we first will be up and running again around Easter.
Right now, it is very difficult to give an ETA on new items. Therefore, we must accept that there will be delays in relation to previously announced – a minimum of 2 weeks, but it all depends on how the “reopening” proceeds.
This applies not only to DEKAS ‘own products, but also to our OEM customers (McK, Hnoll, Exacttrain, ASM and LEMKE / HOBBYTRAIN)
We will update the website as much as possible, with expected delivery times, but as mentioned, It is only a snapshot and we hope for the understanding and patience of all of You.
