Model of DSB QGR livestock van built at Scandia in 1896-1913, in platform version. The QGR vans were livestock-carrying sub-type of the small Q-type wagons. The small Q-type were all built with a 12ft (3,66m) wheelbase, following British practice at the time. QGR coded wagons were originally constructed with brake house, in different series – our model is latest series with “high” brakehouse location. The type was utilised for the transportation of all types of livestock but mainly pigs, cattle and horses. DSB operated a fleet of 863 QGR cars.
